Their restoration contributes to sustainable development, community development, and environmental protection, benefiting both current and future generations.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The hydrological restoration of the mangrove forest in Muanangome &#8211; Lunga, in the Mossuril district of Nampula, has been fundamental for the recovery of its ecological functions, the recovery of fauna, protection from storms and floods, and more. To ensure long-term success and increase community awareness, WCS Mozambique is using hydrological maps and following a participatory approach, incorporating traditional knowledge and local experiences, and teaching new technology and innovative approaches.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Collaboration between academia, civil society organizations, government, and communities can bring lasting benefits for ecosystems, biodiversity, and nature.
